Board Profile of Joanne Landau

Joanne Landau is a Corporate Director, President and previous Chief Marketing Officer with a history of achieving industry-leading results.  Her experience has always been in building and managing organizations and bringing innovative solutions.  Proficient in four languages, Joanne has led global marketing expansions with a focus on Europe, the Middle East and Asia. With expertise spanning a variety of industries, she enjoys tackling the challenges inherent in financial, real estate/environmental and related technology companies. Corporate

Since 2006, Ms. Landau has been serving as an independent director for a public global securities firm, Hudson Holding Corp. (HDHL.OB). Through its subsidiary Hudson Securities Inc., the company trades in 15,000 market issues and offers research and investment banking. It is also a provider of technology services through its subsidiary, Hudson Technologies, Inc. Ms. Landau chairs the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and sits on the Audit and Compensation Committees. She is is also an internal director of two privately owned companies, Kurtsam Realty Corp. and Term Trust, LLC. Valued near $100 million, both are privately held real estate investment firms that focus on neighborhood shopping centers and commercial warehouse space in the Northeast United States. In 2003, she was an internal director for Libera Capital Management, a family office dedicated to high-end clients with portfolios of $250 million+. From 2000 to 2002, she served in a professional capacity with the Scudder / Deutsche Bank mutual funds.

Affiliations and Non-Profit

Among others, Ms. Landau is active in the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), Women Corporate Directors (WCD) and the Financial Women’s Association. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Yale University Center for Business and the Environment.   Ms. Landau also participates in a variety of non-profit organizations in the educational and environmental arena, including as Vice-Chair of Teatown Lake Reservation, Westchester’s largest nature preserve founded through the New York Botanical Garden.

Ms. Landau is a frequent speaker at directorship and business conferences and was named a Director to Watchfor 2008 by Directors & Boards Magazine. She received her Diplome from University of Geneva in 1976, her Bachelors from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in 1977 and her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Yale School of Management in 1984.
