Board Profile of Joanne Landau
Ms. Landau is focused on small and middle market boards, both in the for-profit and non-profit arenas. Her board experience and affiliations span a range of industries and organizations.
Profit
Ms. Landau presently sits as an Independent Director on the Board of Hudson Holding Corp. (OTC:HDHL), a registered broker-dealer that makes markets in approximately 7,000 securities. Through her real estate career, Ms. Landau currently serves as an internal director of two privately owned companies, Kurtsam Realty Corporation and Caleb Corporation. Both focus on commercial real estate holdings of small office buildings and shopping centers. In 2003, she was Internal Director for Libera Capital Management, a start-up family office dedicated to high-end clients with portfolios of $250 million+. From 2000 to 2002, she served in a professional relationship capacity with the Scudder mutual funds.
Non-profit
Ms. Landau is currently Secretary and Executive Board member of Teatown Lake Reservation, Westchester’s largest nature preserve established in 1964. She is also President and Executive Board member of Youth Centers of Israel, dedicated to providing education to underprivileged youth in Israel and founded in 1945. In both capacities, she is providing direction for strategic change in each organization’s mandate.
Affiliations
Ms. Landau is a long-standing member of the Board of Directors Resource Committee of the Financial Women’s Association, dedicated to promoting women on corporate boards. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors and a participant in the Yale School of Management Corporate Governance/Social Enterprise initiative.
